Relive the opening day of the Novuna UK Athletics Championships with comprehensive live blog coverage from Birmingham's Alexander Stadium.

This weekend saw the event return to Birmingham, which houses the UK Athletics offices, for the first time since 2019, after five years at SportCity in Manchester.

Plenty of stars were on show, competing for a chance to represent Great Britain at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo in September, at the home of Athletics at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and the upcoming 2026 European Athletics Championships.

Budapest 2023 Heptathlon world champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson, and 100m bronze medallist Zharnel Hughes, Paris 2024 1500m bronze medallist Georgia Hunter-Bell, sprinters Daryll Neita and Amy Hunt, and former World Indoor Pole Vault champion Molly Caudery were among the athletes who featured.
